Genre: Holiday Romance
Synopsis:
In Kringletown, every Kringle loved Christmas—except for Cole Black on Whistler Lane, who was a recluse. Martha thought it was because he was alone, while Mae believed he was bitter over never being named the town Kringle. The truth was more tragic; he had lost both parents at eighteen. As he spent Christmas in darkness, hating the festive cheer around him, everything changed when his nemesis, Storee Taylor, moved in next door to care for her Aunt Cindy. When she entered the town Christmas Kringle contest to win, Cole was determined to stop her, even if it meant participating in the season he despised. In an effort to outplay her, he pretended to date her, but as they kissed and sparks flew, feelings began to heat up.
ARC Review:
I devoured this book! It was like a Hallmark movie, but infused with a fiery spice. I totally loved every wacky character in this book! Seriously, the back-and-forth between Cole and Storee was pure comedy gold! Their chemistry was off the charts—I was half expecting fireworks to go off! And don’t even get me started on the crazy fun of everyone throwing their hats in the ring for that Christmas competition. This book had me laughing out loud, especially with the quirky relationship between Cole and his best friend Max, who honestly felt more like a brother from another mother. Their dynamic was a riot, and the way they bickered over the most ridiculous strategies to win the competition was comedy gold! Although this seemed like a lighthearted, humorous holiday read, there were poignant moments that truly resonated. Witnessing Cole navigate his grief and embrace Storee and the magic of Christmas back into his life was nothing short of breathtaking. I might just dive back into this masterpiece around Christmas, you know, to soak up that holiday cheer like a cozy sweater soaked in eggnog!
