In “Zodiac Academy: Cursed Fates,” the enthralling tale continues as the protagonists navigate through a world steeped in magic, destiny, and unbreakable bonds. The intricately woven plot leads to unexpected alliances, heart-wrenching betrayals, and profound revelations, all set against the backdrop of the ever-present struggle between light and darkness. With each page, “Zodiac Academy: Cursed Fates” immerses readers in a captivating narrative of bravery, love, and the enduring strength of the human spirit against insurmountable odds.

I’m in agony, so much excruciating pain!!! I am currently berating Tik Tok for introducing me to this series because it’s going to plunge me into a state of profound depression. I’ll have to immerse myself in a lighthearted romantic comedy before delving into the next book just to cope with the overwhelming trauma caused by this book. Over the course of the last four books, I’ve grown increasingly attached to each character and found myself resenting other characters a bit less than before. Then this book comes along and essentially shatters everyone’s lives. Do the authors not care for their main characters at all? Do they relish keeping them in perpetual agony, always yearning for happiness but never truly attaining it?

Tory and Darius in this book started off with such excruciating pain. Witnessing them navigate their heartbreak and struggle with the agony of never being able to be together due to a cursed fate was truly gut-wrenching. However, we were eventually blessed with tender and even humorous moments between the two, as they slowly healed their wounds and built trust. But then, alas, the authors proceeded to shatter it all, plunging us readers into a bottomless pit of despair once more.

Lance Orion and Darcy Vega? Ugh, don’t even get me started. I mean, they were supposed to be the ultimate power couple, but nope, the authors just had to go and destroy everything. It’s like they enjoyed watching us suffer through the chaos they created. Can you believe it?Lance thought he was acting honorably, protecting her, but instead he only caused chaos in his own life and shattered her heart. He was acting like such as self-sacrificing idiot. The only good thing to come out of that was the heirs being there for Darcy and her relationship with Seth slowly healing into a sort of friendship. As well as seeing her friendship grow with Darius, the moments between these characters where they lean on each other to deal with the aftermath of Orion’s decision was beautiful.

Now here is the update on how I am feeling about the heirs and the other characters so far:

  • Caleb – all I can say is I still love him and he keeps getting sweeter and sweeter.
  • Darius – 100% Darius Supporter, he keeps getting better every book. We finally get to see the sweet side to him in this book as he is trying to fix his strained relationship with Tory and all I can say is he is utterly adorable.
  • Max – I’m actually starting to finally like Max but again a lot of that has to do with his obsession with Geraldine Grus.
  • Seth – I still did not like Seth in the beginning of the book, but throughout the book he started to earn some redemption points. He is not fully there yet, but I can see myself slowly starting to like his character later on in the series.
  • Tory Vega – I was completely pissed off in the last book with Tory, but she slowly started to work her way back into my good side with this book.
  • Darcy Vega – I still stand on this hill, Darcy is the superior twin!! I
  • Lance Orion – UGH, don’t get me started. He was so good and then he had to go and make that STUPID decision!
  • Geraldine Grus – Love her more and more each book. She needs to stay protected ALWAYS.

In short, this book was amazing, leaving the reader in intense suspense, eager to find out if the next part will bring comfort.

Favorite Quotes:

“If you love someone, truly love them, you’ll bear your soul to them and let them be the keeper of your heart no matter how fragile or damaged it might be. And if they love you then they’ll do everything in their power to keep it safe, to nurture and protect it and heal over all the old wounds.”

“I love you, Roxy,” he said in a rough, dark voice which held no room for lies or falsehood, no space for tricks of cruelty. Only the truth. I could feel it just as keenly as I could feel the rush of his magic beneath my skin.”

“Oh blasted baguettes, take me to the mulberry bush,” she moaned and I had no fucking idea what that meant but I liked it.”
