**********SPOILER ALERT************

Zodiac Academy: The Awakening sets the stage for an enchanting journey into a world where astrology meets magic. Within the walls of Zodiac Academy, young students grapple with newfound powers, budding friendships, and dark, ancient secrets. As the protagonists navigate the complexities of love and destiny, they unravel the mysteries shrouding their own pasts and the magical realm they inhabit. With an intricate blend of romance, adventure, and mystique, this captivating tale promises an unforgettable exploration of the human spirit amidst a backdrop of celestial forces.

The Awakening sets the stage for the incredible Zodiac Academy series, pulling you into the wild ride of the Vega twins, Tory and Darcy. Their journey kicks off as they leave the human world behind for the enchanting fae realm. Growing up in the human world, bouncing around in foster homes, adds a bittersweet layer to their already amazing story. When fate meets destiny, a mysterious dude appears, dropping the bombshell that they’re actually the royal princesses of Solaria. This revelation totally messes with their sense of self, uncovering the deep truth of their fae roots. The reality of their fae blood flings the twins into a mind-blowing adventure, reshaping their whole existence and purpose.

The story is about a school called Zodiac Academy for young faeries. In their first year, the students have their elemental powers awakened, like control over air, water, fire, and earth. Normally, faeries have one or two elements, but Tory and Darcy surprisingly have all four. This makes them very powerful and also puts a target on their backs from other faeries who don’t want them to become powerful. Tory and Darcy are long-lost princesses and have a right to the throne if they graduate from the academy. But there are others, like the four heirs whose parents are on the fae council, who are against them. They want to stop the twins from taking the throne and try to make them leave the academy and go back to the human realm.

I delved into this series fully prepared for a bully romance, but oh boy, did they ramp up the bullying to a whole new level! I must admit, I had serious doubts about enjoying this series at first. I mean, how on earth were these characters going to redeem themselves and win my heart? But here I am, writing this review after devouring the next couple of books, and I can now assure you that eventually, you’ll come to adore most of the characters. Emphasis on “eventually” – it’s gonna take a while, and they’re still far from perfect.

Overall, I adored the book, but it’s currently my least favorite in the series because the upcoming books surpass it by a mile! And let me tell you, the reason you absolutely have to continue with this series is none other than the incredible LANCE ORION!!!
