**********SPOILER ALERT************

Nestled within intricate webs of politics, power, and passion, the story of A Court of Silver Flames delves into the tumultuous journey of Nesta Archeron, sister of the High Lady of the Night Court. As she grapples with her inner darkness and an uncertain future, a riveting narrative unfolds, replete with unexpected alliances, fierce confrontations, and profound self-discovery. This tantalizing fourth installment in the ACOTAR series is a testament to Maas’s storytelling prowess as she masterfully balances themes of love, sacrifice, and redemption against a backdrop of war, intrigue, and faerie politics, immersing readers in a world where the lines between good and evil blur, and the complexities of the heart reign supreme.

If Nesta has no fans then I’m dead, no one can make me hate Nesta. I would have never said that while reading the first book, but Nesta’s character development throughout the series has really shown us how deep her trauma truly lives and why she acts the way that she does. Also, let’s talk about Cassian because OMG how he is everything and more! Cassian is just perfect, and the way he would not let Nesta push him away, determined to help her through her pain, is simply incredible. Their love story is not only hilarious with the back and forth banter, but it’s also incredibly beautiful in the way he brings her back to life and helps her deal with her pain, without letting her push away everyone who cares for her.

I couldn’t help but be totally enchanted by Nesta’s epic transformation. I mean, watching her unlock her powers, embrace self-love, and learn to open up to others was like witnessing a really wild rollercoaster ride. The way she roped in her new pals to join her and Cassian in their training sessions was straight-up awe-inspiring. Those fresh friendships she cultivated meant the world to her, and then some. It was crystal clear that she needed a squad outside of her sisters, a crew she could really lean on and spill her guts to.

And let’s not even get started on Nesta and Cassian’s love story—it’s like something out of a romance novel, but with a lot more sass. They were totally head over heels for each other, even if it took Nesta an eternity to admit it. Oh, and can we talk about poor Az having to act like a chaperone at the House of Wind? Not that it did any good, but it sure was entertaining to watch!

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Rhys really managed to crawl under my skin in this book! I’d move mountains for Rhys, but he was so dense with Nesta when she was clearly going through a tough time. I mean, come on, buddy, you of all people should get it! Nevertheless, Feyre still reigns as my ultimate favorite. #TeamFeyre

And once again, this book failed to sway my opinion on Elain. I refuse to warm up to her. Lucien definitely deserves someone better! It’s baffling how the author keeps trying to make Elain likable and make us root for a romance between her and Az. Azriel deserves to shine with someone who matches his level, who challenges him and gets him out of his comfort zone, not some girl who already has a Mate she treats like the dirt on her shoe and the only personality trait she has is that she likes to garden. Really hoping the next book doesn’t put Az and Elain together!

Favorite Quotes:

“Welcome back to the Night Court, Nesta Archeron.”

“Whatever you need to throw at me, I can take it. I won’t break.”

“You’re an arrogant bastard.”
“And you’re a haughty witch. We’re evenly matched.”

“Az chuckled, the wind shifting the strands of his dark hair. “You two need a chaperone up here?” Yes. No. Yes. “I thought you were the chaperone.” Az threw him a wicked smile. “I’m not entirely sure I’m enough.”
