**********SPOILER ALERT************

Synopsis of A Court of Frost and Starlight:

“A Court of Frost and Starlight” by Sarah J. Maas is like a juicy bonus episode in the “ACOTAR” series. Picture this: after a massive war, our favorite characters are left picking up the pieces, trying to heal, and maybe even score a happy ending. This novella dives deep into their messy emotional journeys, showing us the good, the bad, and the awkward. Get ready for drama, new friendships, and some serious soul-searching as they deal with their epic history. It’s like a soap opera, but with magical creatures and a whole lot of feels.

This was like a sudden plot twist after A Court of Wings and Ruin, ramping up to the events in A Court of Silver Flames. It felt like a heartwarming Christmas tale, with Rhys and Feyre actually enjoying life (for once!). The part where Feyre and Cassian got totally wasted and wrecked the holiday decorations, leaving poor Az to pick up the pieces, had me in stitches! It’s like the Inner Circle can’t have a normal holiday without some chaos. 🎄

Now let’s turn our attention to the other two sisters, Elain and Nesta. I am a fiercely loyal Lucien supporter, and the way Elain dismisses him as if he means nothing truly infuriates me. All Lucien has done is give her space and protect her, yet she adamantly refuses to acknowledge him, almost being outright rude. Would it be so difficult for her to offer a smile or inquire about his well-being?! It also grates on me how much the Inner Circle coddles Elain like a delicate doll, yet they come down so hard on Nesta when she is clearly struggling. Nesta isn’t being difficult for the sake of it; you can clearly see the internal turmoil and pain she is going through. Instead of understanding, they choose to treat Nesta as if she’s a terrible person while Elain can do no wrong. The only ones who even attempt to see beyond Nesta’s facade are Feyre and Cassian.

In addition to that, we were also given insight into the trauma Nesta was beginning to experience and her struggles in coping with the aftermath of the previous book, which was quite turbulent. This sets the stage for the central storyline in A Court of Silver Flames, with Nesta grappling with the intense pain and anger she has bottled up inside.

Favorite Quotes:

“Cassian had named about two dozen poses for Nesta at this point. Ranging from I Will Eat Your Eyes for Breakfast to I Don’t Want Cassian to Know I’m Reading Smut. The latter was his particular favorite.”

“I think my heart knew you were mine long before I ever realized it.”

“Deep inside me, rising with every swirling flake, a sparkling, crisp power stirred. I was High Lady of the Night Court”
