**********SPOILER ALERT************
In the captivating third installment of the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas, “A Court of Wings and Ruin,” the narrative plunges into a whirlwind of political intrigue, devastating warfare, and heart-stopping romance. As tensions reach a boiling point in the world of Fae, Feyre Archeron navigates a treacherous web of alliances and enemies to protect her loved ones and the fragile peace.
With the fate of Prythian hanging in the balance, Feyre must harness her newfound powers and forge unexpected alliances. The story weaves a tapestry of sacrifice, resilience, and the unyielding strength of the human spirit in the face of overwhelming adversity.
Sarah J. Maas has truly outdone herself once again with an astonishing new book. Although it took me a bit longer to delve into the story compared to the first two, I must say that I found some parts to be a bit slow and unnecessarily long. This installment leans heavily into the High Fantasy genre, shifting away from the Romantasy aspect that captivated us in the first two books. While romance is still present, it no longer takes center stage as it did in A Court of Mist and Fury.
I devoured the first half of the book in no time, and let me tell you, I am absolutely obsessed with Feyre! The story picks up right where A Court of Mist and Fury left off, and Feyre takes delicious revenge on Tamlin. Her tactics are downright hilarious as she wreaks havoc in the Spring Court, even managing to stoke Tamlin’s jealousy of her bond with Lucien. I still despise Tamlin, but my love for Lucien remains unwavering. If anyone deserves a happy ending, it’s him. I hope Sarah J. Maas ensures a satisfying conclusion for Lucien’s story. Rhys and Feyre continue to amaze me – their chemistry remains as incredible as ever, albeit with a bit less banter. When they reunite after Feyre’s return from the Spring Court, and Rhys sends everyone away just to be with her, I can’t help but shout, “OMG!” I couldn’t love these characters any more than I already do.
Let me tell you why this book is absolutely amazing! The inner circle characters are everything to me, especially the bat boys. And Cassian? He is simply top tier, especially in his connection with Nesta – it’s one of the highlights of the story. I’ll defend Nesta with all my heart. Sure, she can be difficult at times, but deep down, you can see that she genuinely cares about Feyre and wants to help her, even if she struggles to show it. Now, Elain… I just can’t get on board with the whole “love Elain” movement. How can everyone forgive Elain for not helping Feyre when they were human, yet hold it against Nesta? They were both Feyre’s older sisters, and both should have supported her. If you’re going to blame Nesta for it, then Elain should be held accountable too.
Sarah J. Mass is pulling out all the stops to give us an emotional rollercoaster in the final part of this book. Buckle up, because it’s going to be a wild ride of feels! All I can say is she was playing massive games with my heart!

“I would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand years. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have… the wait was worth it.”
