A Not So Meet Cute

Genre : Romantic Comedy

Series: Cane Brothers #1

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Review:

**********SPOILER ALERT************

One word to describe this book is Hilarious. The banter in this book between the FMC and the MMC is top tier. I would describe this book as a spin on the classic “Pretty Woman” film, except the FMC is not a hooker just an unemployed broke woman looking for a rich husband to rub into her High School frenemies face.

Huxley and Lottie were amazing together, the first half of the book when they practically hate each other and she constantly tries to push his buttons was so funny. This book is super cheesy and predictable but a five star read nonetheless because it kept me so entertained through the whole book.

This is the first installment in the Cane Brothers series, which follows three brothers who just happened to be Real Estate Billionaires that are not looking for love, but somehow still end up finding it. Tropes included in this book are enemies-to-lovers, fake-dating, and billionaire romance.

Favorite Quotes:

“You might still hate me, you might still not want to look at me, but you’ll damn well know, you fucking crave me.”

“As Rachel Green would say, isn’t that just kick-you-in-the-crotch, spit-on-your-neck fantastic?”

“You’re so narcissistic.” “Confident,” he replies. “A cockhole.” His brows raise. “What the hell is a cockhole?” “Cocky asshole. Therefore, you’re a cockhole.”
